YAK is designed to minimize data collection. Your journal data is stored on your device and, if iCloud is enabled in your iOS settings, in your own private iCloud account linked to your Apple ID. No YAK account is required to use core features.
We do not sell your journal entries. We do not use your journal content for advertising. Under normal operation, we do not have access to your journal entries on our own servers — they remain on your device and/or in your personal iCloud storage as described below.
This policy explains what data is processed, why, by whom, and what rights you have under applicable data protection law (including the GDPR).
