1) Overview

Vitaly is a paid lifestyle micronutrient tracking app. Meal photos, supplement labels, and profile data are used to estimate vitamins and minerals for personal self-tracking. Logged estimates are compared to fixed EU Nutrient Reference Values (NRV) (and soft lifestyle references for protein/sugar) — not to a personalized medical “need.” Core meal history and profile data are stored on your device. No Vitaly account is required.

We do not sell your meal photos, nutrient logs, or health-related profile data. We do not use that content for advertising. Vitaly does not provide medical advice, diagnose deficiencies, or recommend treatments. Vitaly is not a medical device under the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR).

This policy explains what data is processed, why, by whom, and what rights you have under applicable data protection law (including the GDPR).

2) Data We Process

2.1 Data you provide

When using the app, you may provide:

• Onboarding / profile inputs (e.g. name, birthday, optional sex, optional height/weight, optional activity level, dietary style, tracking focus / Home highlight preference, optional allergies, reminder times, “where did you find us”)
• Meal and supplement logs (names, ingredients, estimated nutrients, calories, notes, timestamps)
• Photos of meals or supplement labels you choose to scan
• Optional barcode lookups for packaged products

This data is stored on your device for the app’s functionality. Photos you scan are also sent to our AI analysis provider (Google Gemini) so the app can estimate foods, nutrients, or read labels (see Section 2.4 and Section 4).
